the asenheim project — a selection of old visual novels, from the comfort of your browser. i havent played these, i tried, but early vns were often eroge and its just not my thing. so be aware a lot of these have outright sexual content, and if they dont, they have gratuitous panty shots.

beepbox — what ive been using to make music. its great for beginners like me, with different modes to make it easier. each beat is stored as a 'pattern' you can reuse in the track, so it certainly promotes a certain workflow, but i dont necessarily think its a bad thing & subtly teaches beginners about common song structures. theres more advanced options as well, like with customizing your own instruments.
